My personal discovery of the yoga path happened in the 90’s as I was starting my Nursing career. But long before I understood yoga holistically, I was developing a deep respect for the physical and spiritual components of the human being. When I finished my 200 hour training with Jacqui Bonwell in 2014, I was fueled with a passion to share what I had learned, despite never having planned to teach yoga. So I dove right in and quickly found that my life’s work to that point had been great preparation for the role of yoga teacher. Since then, I’ve continued to learn and deepen my commitment to the healing arts with Reiki II certification, Myofascial Release Therapy with John Barnes, Yin Yoga & Meditation training with Sagel Urlacher, and ongoing personal study. My classes and workshops are inspired by what I’ve learned from many teachers, but also by thought leaders in the fields of neuropsychology, epigenetics, and energy medicine. I believe in the power of healing with sound and the importance of silence as well, and I make time for both in the yoga practice. Students will experience a blend of functional movement, stillness, breathwork, chanting, introspection, and meditative moments in my classes. I bring an open mind and a compassionate heart to every class, with the intention of creating an accessible and safe environment for each student to experience and absorb exactly what is needed in the moment.
