Private Yoga with Lisa |
It’s all about connection for me. I feel the most joy when I am in connection with others, with nature, with music, and with myself. I love to learn and try new things, so consequently I have studied a wide variety of topics, and am now at an age or point in my life where I can bring them together and share them with others.
I am energetic, outgoing, and sometimes a total spaz, but I can also chill with the best of them! Life can be challenging and messy sometimes. As I am more and more able to embrace my own strengths and weaknesses, I hope to help others do the same; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! I have 13 years of experience in PT, 26 years as massage therapist, taught dance for 20 years, Yoga for about 18years; was involved in research in the field of Positive Psychology, I teach trauma informed yoga for Sea Change, yoga for injury prevention to high school athletes. I have trained with Patricia Walden, Todd Norian, Pamela Ryan, Alice Ricardi, and many other wonderful teachers! I am passionate about anatomy and biomechanics, and the way that being attentive to your alignment can bring ease into your practice that you will feel in your body, mind, and life off the mat. I have extensive training with the Upledger Institute in craniosacral Therapy and visceral manipulation, which deepens my understanding of the interconnectedness of the fascial system. When I am not at the studio, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, writing, and foraging Maine for edible plants, mushrooms, and medicinal herbs….just to name a few things. |
