Empowering you with a deep understanding of the physical, emotional and energetic aspects of the Yoga Practice
Our team is committed to constantly learning and evolving in order to train confident, centered, well rounded yoga teachers. Upon completion of this 200-hour training, you will have the knowledge and confidence to teach yoga safely in a style that is authentic to you.

Foundational Student Expectations:
  • Attend all sessions.
  • Completed assignments and readings on time as assigned in the syllabus.
  • Maintain a Journal for in-class and between reflections to capture your experience and perspective 
  • Develop a regular meditation practice & share reflections throughout training
  • Attend 5 classes of different styles and write a brief observation for each in addition to other consistent yoga practice throughout training. 
  • Maintain a strong code of personal and professional conduct and respect the privacy and sanctity of your cohort. 
  • Be curious. Be open minded. Be brave. 
  • Most importantly - be you. ​

​Tuition:
$3000 paid in full or in two payments by December 31, 2025
$2800 early bird rate in full by October 31, 2025

Location, Dates & Hours:
Training will be held at Scarborough Yoga in the Oasis Building at 433 US Rt. 1 Scarborough, Maine. This building has multiple bathrooms, purified water and a kitchen for food refrigeration. There’s ample space to spread out in the lounge during breaks or for small group discussion. We love our abundant, friendly space and welcome you to feel at home here!

One snow date weekend will be added if necessary. Please commit to all weekends. Exceptions may be made for family emergencies and not for vacations. Any hours missed must be made up in full in order to receive your 200-hour certificate.

Saturdays and Sundays 11:30-7:30 pm, Mondays 9-5.   (The 2 Mondays are calendar holidays)

January 17-19, Saturday - Monday 3 days
Feb 14-16, Saturday - Monday 3 days
Mar 7-8, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
March 21-22, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
April 11-12. Saturday - Sunday 2 days
April 26-27, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
May 9-10, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
May 30-31, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
June 13-14, Saturday - Sunday 2 days
June 27-28 Saturday - Sunday 2 days Graduation / Snow dates if needed
Note: The final weekend scheduled to be a lighter weekend as it is graduation time! It may also double as a makeup weekend in case of a weather event earlier in the schedule.

During the program, additional schedule changes may be made if needed and will be communicated in advance.

Kristine Keegan, ERYT500, Reiki Master Teacher, Sound Healer  
Kristine Keegan is an RYT 500 and REIKI Master Practitioner attuned in the Traditional Usui Lineage. Originally receiving her 200 hour yoga certification with Sacred Seeds School/Jacqui Bonwell in 2014, Kristine is additionally trained to lead Yoga Nidra, Restorative, Yin, and Thai Yoga Massage. She further expanded her repertoire adding Level 1 & 2 Sound Healing.  In addition to teaching weekly yoga classes, Kristine offers private sessions, and workshops spanning all of her experience and talents.  She also offers Reiki I, II, and Master certifications and attunements and Reiki sessions for energy clearing and balancing.

Owner of Scarborough Yoga, Co-Founder of sheJAMs, LLC, (an all-women’s triathlon club), RYT 500 Yoga Teacher ~ Jacqui Bonwell’s Sacred Seed 2012, USAT Certified Coach Level 1, 2006, Master Reiki Practitioner, Usui Lineage ~ Laura Sheldon.  2 Yin Teacher Trainings with Josh Summers, Restorative Yoga and Aerial Yoga Teacher Training with Robin Ivy Payton, Sequencing with Amy Ippoliti, Meditation & Pranayama with Shiva Shakti.

Andrea started practicing Yoga when she was training for a triathlon.  Chronically pulling a rib out of alignment during training, she treated with a chiropractor who told her she could do more for herself than he could do and told her to practice yoga.  Thus began a new journey and her love for the practice of yoga. 

Andrea is trained in Vinyasa but focuses her teachings on the quieter practice of Yin Yoga.   “Yin Yoga balances the Yang in my life, of which there is plenty!”, she says. “Practicing yoga creates breathing room.  Room to pause before I react and recover when I do react to life’s challenges.”

​Is Yoga Teacher Training Your Next Step? 

​Open a whole new world of opportunities to share yoga through this Yoga Alliance Certified 200 Hour Yoga Training!  Graduates from this program have gone on to further their own practice, and to share yoga with friends, family, and colleagues.

Our graduates have also stepped into teaching yoga in classes with their communities. This includes specializing in yoga for athletes, young people with developmental disabilities, and families who have children with special needs, among other private and group sessions.

Whether your goal is to step into the role of teacher and share your gifts with other, or if it is deepen your own personal growth through a deeper connection to yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork, we provide a balanced training that prepares you to feel confident sharing the practice of yoga with others.

With that intention, we mentor you and help you lean into your own natural strength and abilities to travel the path that fits you! We'll support you as you discover all the ways that you'll make a difference not only in your own life, but in the lives of others. Through this deep study, you'll feel more connected to a deep understanding of the physical, emotional and energetic aspects of the yoga practice.

  • Coming out of this training you will have greater knowledge and understanding of what yoga is, how and why it benefits you, how and why it contributes to the benefit of others in your community and beyond.
  • You will learn so many different elements of yoga from postures, movement, meditation, mindfulness, energetic and emotional bodies, yogic philosophy and so much more.
  • You will learn more about yourself and find a deeper relationship to your practice and how it supports your own journey.
  • You will gain skills and insights in how to apply the many elements of yoga into your everyday life through a deeper connection and commitment to fostering your inner wisdom and insight.
  • You’ll develop the confidence and ability to introduce others and guide others through their own practice of yoga.
  • Through a lot of hands-on practice, reflection, and discussion you’ll develop skills that will allow you to offer yoga practices to others with the ability and confidence to hold space and create a safe and inclusive environment for anyone who wants to share yoga.
  • And should you choose to continue a path of teaching, our program is certified through the Yoga Alliance. It is a stepping-stone to additional paths of study down the road.

Chris is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher & Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance. He is an Accessible Yoga® Ambassador, a Balanced Athlete® Coach, and a Functional Movement Screen® provider. He has trained in Vinyasa, Restorative yoga, Yin yoga, functional movement, mindfulness, and meditation with teachers Jacqui Bonwell, Sagel Urlacher, Johnny Gillespie, and with the Accessible Yoga Association, Center for Trauma & Embodiment at JRI, Prison Yoga Project, and Functional Movement Systems.

Chris is a fierce advocate for classes that embrace all bodies, abilities, life experiences, and circumstances. Rooted in his own experience how the practices of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation have supported his own experience with depression and sobriety.

He believes that the practice of Yoga offers a system of living a life of generosity, community, equanimity, justice, equality, shared connection, and social responsibility. It is a practice that guides your sacred inner self to align with the balance of the universe, connected to the miracle of existing in each moment.

Chris lives in Biddeford with his wife Noreen. When not immersed in work or teaching, he finds great joy in his wonderfully mediocre running ability. He also delights in a regular practice of walking meditations at sunrise and sharing time and space with loved ones, especially his cats.
